The Bailliage de Pommard is a wine-growing brotherhood conceived as early as 1969 by Jean-Philippe Lecat (Minister and Member of Parliament for the C\u00f4te d’Or), but not created until 1981.<\/p>\n

As the Saint-Vincent Tournante in Pommard had aroused the enthusiasm of the locals, the idea of a brotherhood emerged once again. In 1982, the Comit\u00e9 d’Accueil founded a wine choir, “Les Enfants d’la C\u00f4te”, and in 1983, “Le Bailliage de Pommard”, with the aim of giving Pommard a reputation worthy of the prestige of its wines.<\/p>\n

For over 40 years, this association has been run by Pommard residents, winegrowers and non winegrowers alike, but all volunteers committed to a collective approach to promoting the appellation. It offers typically Burgundian events, open to all wine lovers, in the authentic, well-kept setting of the Caveau de Pommard.<\/p>\n

Beyond its events, the Bailliage strives to convey the soul of Pommard through its meetings, exchanges with winemakers and commitment to the recognition of the region’s wines.<\/p>\n
