An Exceptional Terroir in the Heart of the C\u00f4te de Beaune<\/h3>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Located between Beaune and Volnay, the Pommard vineyard stretches across the hillsides of the C\u00f4te de Beaune, benefiting from a unique terroir. Its vines are planted along the slopes at around 280 meters (920 ft) of altitude, in clay-limestone soils rich in iron oxide. This red and fertile soil, combined with an east\/southeast exposure and a temperate continental climate, allows for ideal grape ripening and gives the wines their deep color and renowned structure. Cultivated for centuries, the commune was granted Appellation d\u2019Origine Contr\u00f4l\u00e9e (AOC) status as early as 1936, cementing its place among France\u2019s most prestigious wine regions.<\/p>

Although there are no Grand Crus in Pommard, the village boasts 28 Premier Cru classified “climats”<\/strong> that are its pride and joy. Renowned parcels such as Les Rugiens<\/em> and Les \u00c9penots<\/em> are among these exceptional terroirs and produce wines of great complexity with excellent aging potential.
